Welded Gabions
Gabion baskets are an essential element of most Gabion structures. Most are used for the construction of retaining walls and various types of regulatory structures, such as seawalls, thresholds, dams, groynes etc. They are made of hot galvanized black steel or stainless steel, depending on the individual needs and preferences. Using Gabions we can also build custom objects, such as acustic baffles, fencings, building elevations, etc. The interior of a gabion basket can be divided with division walls in the interval of 1.0 m. The barrier walls increase the strength of the basket, making it easy to assemble and fill it with stones, preventing from deformation of the whole gabion structure. In addition, the opposite walls are interconnected with special connectors, or binding wires
Standard gabion baskets are made of a mesh with an aperture of 8x10 cm, are made of 3.0 mm thick wire or welded with steel rods.
Dimensions of gabions are made upon request, but normally we take sizes at 0.5 m intervals and individually calculate for internal stress and load capacity and approprietly adjust to match their size or the number of internal barrier walls.
